A jury has convicted a man of a 2022 fatal shooting at a recording studio in Camden County.
Jury Finds 25-year-old Guilty of Murder
Late last week, following a four-week-long jury trial, 25-year-old Ronin A. Nevels of Lindenwold was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Isaiah Shaw of Winslow Township.
He was also convicted of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree criminal trespass.
Details of the Fatal Incident
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says on the night of September 30th, 2022, the Lindenwold Police Department responded to IAO Studios on the 2500 block of Egg Harbor Road for a report of a person who had been shot.
There, officers located Shaw, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was subsequently pronounced dead.
Investigation Quickly Identified Suspect
During the investigation, detectives collected evidence and conducted witness statements that led to Nevels being identified as the shooter.
Nevels was arrested the following day after barricading himself in a home in Gloucester Township.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 11th.
