
Camden, NJ, Man Arrested After Deadly Sunday Night Shooting
A Camden man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the city on Sunday night.
40-year-old Neftalie Sanabria is facing first-degree murder and related weapons charges in the death of 32-year-old Joshua Cruz of Camden.
Police Respond to Shooting on Baird Boulevard
Just before 9 PM Sunday, officers with the Camden County Police Department were called to the 2500 block of Baird Blvd. for a report of a person who had been shot.
At the scene, cops located Cruz, and he was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead about a half hour later.
Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force
During their investigation, detectives determined Sanabria was the individual allegedly responsible for shooting Cruz. He was taken into custody on Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Sanabria is being held in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending initial court proceedings.
