HVAC System Causes Fire at Monmouth Regional High School
TINTON FALLS – A fire at Monmouth Regional High School prompted the response from multiple fire departments on Friday afternoon.
Officers from the Tinton Falls Police Department were the first to arrive at the school an advised that there was heavy smoke coming from the side of the school.
Wayside Fire & Rescue, Little Silver Fire Department, Eatontown Fire Department, and Oakhurst Independent Hose No. 1 arrived on the scene a short time later.
After further investigation, it was revealed that the source of the smoke was coming from wires catching fire in the HVAC system in a server room, according to Wayside Fire & Rescue.
The extent of the fire and damage is currently unknown.
