Route 9 In Toms River Reopens Following Head On Crash
Route 9 in Toms River is reopened as police finish their initial investigation into an early morning head-on crash.
A Jeep and truck collided at Route 9 and Silverton Road around 5:30 a.m. Friday morning according to Toms River Police. Two males were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center; the driver of the truck was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Route 9 was closed in both directions from Cox Cro Road to Stevens Road for about 2-and-a-half hours during the cleanup and investigation.
