We are a week away from Election Day and choosing a new governor which frankly few people seem to have any interest in.

The probe into Russia’s interference into our last presidential election has taken a new direction yet most of us don’t seem to really care.  So what do we care about? What’s on our minds?

  • The weather looks nice for tonight’s Toms River Halloween Parade.
  • Sure hope they are almost done with the road construction and traffic light project at the intersection of Route 166 and 37 in Toms River.
  • Once Election Day is over we hope those annoying lawn signs for candidates are removed as soon as possible.
  • It would be nice if the Yankees resigned Todd Frazier.
  • We like to be part of history. That’s partly why more than 1,600 people participated in Saturday’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most sand angels made simultaneously on the beach in Seaside Park.  Spearheaded by OceanFirst Bank and sponsored in part by WOBM it will take some time before the record is confirmed but it should stand and if you were among the group…congratulations.
  • How long will it be before we finally find out all the details of Jack’s death on “This is Us?”
  • Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey...who’s next?
  • It’s not that we are not sympathetic but frankly we’re tired of the national anthem protest thing and don’t really support the players or the owners. Just play football and when you’re not then take the time to make positive contributions to improve social justice.
  • We care about kids, especially sick ones. Last week our sister station 105.7 The Hawk helped raise a record $141,000 during their annual billboard radiothon for Ocean of Love.  Awesome job by billboard squatter Andy Chase and the rest of the gang.
  • How did Penn State blow a 15-point lead in the 4th quarter and not only lose to Ohio State but lose a realistic chance to be part of the College Football Playoff for the first time? (OK, that one is personal and really does not belong. I have to get over this).

See we do care about things.
