New Jersey State Police have released the names of the four people who died after their car struck the back of a tanker truck this morning near Exit 80 on the Garden State Parkway.

A preliminary investigation run by State Police has concluded to this point that the driver of an Infiniti G37 sedan, Kevin Quisepe-Prieto, 21, of Beachwood was in the right lane of the parkway past Exit 81 in Toms River and towards Exit 80 in Berkeley Township when he struck the rear of the truck around 2:50 am.

The driver and his three passengers, Jimmy Quispe-Prieto, 23, Victor Lugo, 24, and Robert Ordenana, 23, all of Lakewood, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries.

State Troopers arrived around 2:50 am to milepost 81.5 and were assisted on the scene by Toms River Police.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by New Jersey State Police.

No further information is available at this time.

Exit 80 on the parkway brings drivers to South Toms River which sits directly next to Berkeley Township in Ocean County.

The right lane of the road heading toward Exit 80 continued to be blocked heading into rush hour Wednesday, according to state traffic reports.
