Former bookkeeper for Foresight Enviroprobe, Inc. pleads guilty to theft charges

An Ocean County woman admits to stealing more than $1,000,000.00 from her employer Foresight Enviroprobe, Inc. in Millstone Township where she worked as a bookkeeper over the course of 5-years.

Virginia DeBerri of Duchess Lane in Brick Township admitted to investigators she stole funds between 2010 and 2015 by writing over 500 company checks payabel to cash and then deposited the money into her personal bank account.

The 52-year old also admitted to increasing her salary without authorization.

She pled guilty to one count of second degree Theft by Unlawful Taking and admitted stealing over $1,000,000.00.

There is a recommended sentence of seven years in state prison by the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office for DeBerri.
