Family Resource Network CEO announces retirement
The Family Resource Network, which helps residents find care for epilepsy, autism, intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities, and chronic illness, is changing CEO's after the present officer announced his retirement.
Eric Joice, of Toms River, who has been the CEO since 1983 is retiring and Liza Gundell of Pennington, COO since 1990 will take his seat as of January 1, 2019.
Gundell is a graduate of Townson University (MD), who has directed a staff of 150 in program areas such as behavioral services, employment services, family support programs and access to healthcare and she is the recipient of several awards including the Sara Stubblefield Advocacy Award and the Staff Person of the Year Award.
Before coming to The Family Resource Network, Gundell served as Director of Support Services for the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey.
During Joice’s time at The Family Resource Network, he helped build growth from nearly $100,000.00 in annual revenue to almost $10,000,000.00.
Joice was a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Volunteerism, the NJ Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, the NJ Rehabilitation Council, the Governor’s Council on the Prevention of Developmental Disabilities and the NJ Epilepsy Task Force.
He was also the recipient of awards from the United Way, EP Magazine, NJBiz Magazine and the National Lifespan Respite Coalition.
The Family Resource Network (FRN) is a statewide, human services organization comprised of Autism Family Services of New Jersey, Epilepsy Services of New Jersey, Caregivers of New Jersey and the Family Support Center of New Jersey.
FRN has offices in Hamilton, Brick, Parsippany and Barrington.
It sponsors the Autism Beach Bash each year at the Jersey Shore and the National Caregivers Conference.
