TOMS RIVER - In case you missed our discussion with Pat Donaghue of People's Pantry (l) and Pastor Bill Meyer of Alive Again Alliance (r), they've been busy for  several weeks, collecting wearable clothes and packaged food, to distribute to anyone in need here at the shore. Distribution Day for the 2017 Fresh Fall-Fillment drive takes place this Sunday in Toms River.

The event, which also includes a Thanksgiving-style brunch, will be at the People's Pantry headquarters, 1769 Hooper Avenue (Silverton Shopping Plaza),10 AM until 2 PM.

Folks in search of clothes will find coats, jackets, shoes, hats, gloves, and fresh socks and tee-shirts, and there will be shelf-stable food as well.

If you have items to donate, bins are street-side at the Alive Again Alliance ministry, on Church Road in Toms River, about a block east of Route 9.

Also taking part in the drive is Haven/Beat The Street, the volunteer group that finds living space for homeless people in Ocean and Atlantic Counties.
