Expect alternating closures on Beaverson Boulevard in Brick

Brick Township police are advising motorists that Beaverson Boulevard will have alternating lane closures for the next few hours while repairs are made to a utility pole that was knocked down Monday night. They say to expect delays.

A car struck the pole, prompting police to issue an initial advisory shortly after 11 p.m. about Beaverson Boulevard being partially closed with detours in place.

The crash knocked out power to about 600 Jersey Central Power and Light customers for a few hours.

There's no word on whether anyone was injured in the crash.
