A man who caused a midnight raucous in the borough of Point Pleasant Beach Tuesday is facing charges including DWI.

Point Pleasant Beach police say Donald Wilson Jr., 38, drove up and down Route 35 in an SUV and was swerving all over the road and onto and off of curbs around 12:00 am February 20.

He then went into a McDonald's drive thru and then onto 35 south where he hit some more curbs, fled police, flew past a stop sign, hit a utility pole, then a telephone pole, went back into the McDonald's lot and then hit a patrol car several times.

When he tried to flee again, he hit another patrol car before he was finally arrested.

A 9-1-1 call sent police to the scene after the person on the phone noticed some dangerous driving by Wilson Jr.

Wilson, Jr. is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to Breath Test, Failure to Stop, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Reckless Driving as well as Eluding Police while Operating a Motor Vehicle and Two Counts of Aggravated Assault by Auto.

The Patrol Officers involved in the crash sustained no life threatening injuries and were transport to the Ocean Care Center in Point Pleasant where they received treated for injuries before being released.

Officers from Bay Head, Mantoloking, and Point Pleasant Police Departments assisted PPB PD with the incident.

The McDonald's at 520 Route 35 sustained property damage after Wilson Jr. struck a light pole with his SUV.

Wilson, Jr. was uninjured through it all and was evaluated and released from Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick.
