Okay, so have you seen a 2020 BMW M8?

It is valued between $130,000 and $135,000 and one was just stolen from outside a home on Mimi Court in Jackson.

Police said someone pulled up in a separate vehicle around 2:06 am on Tuesday, according to home surveillance video, and hopped into the unlocked BMW and took off thanks to the key fob still being inside the vehicle.

Officers arrived around 9:45 am after the owner noticed their BMW was no longer there.

Jackson Police said the victim’s BMW app indicated that the vehicle was in Newark by 4:00 am on Tuesday and Newark Police were contacted with a request to look for it.

If you know who took it and where, you can contact Jackson Police at 732-928-1111.

In the meantime though, don't leave your keys or key fobs in your vehicles.

This is part of a growing trend and habit taking place at the Jersey Shore and beyond with vehicles being stolen and some ending up in Newark as a result of street gangs looking out for pricy vehicles.
