You've seen a lot of Barstool's Dave Portnoy on your feed this week. Recently, he made a trip to the Jersey Shore for a bunch of his viral pizza review tapings.

Self-proclaimed "El Presidente" started in Middletown at Zoni's and Barrel & Roost. He then headed south to Seaside Heights for a visit to the legendary Maruca's Tomato Pies and Three Brothers From Italy.

There was a bit of controversy as Dave only gave Maruca's a decent score and made some not-so-flattering comments about the Jersey Shore including referring to Seaside Heights as "Snookiville."

I'm a huge fan of Dave's videos and understand his humor and attitude. For those who aren't big fans especially after his lackluster local reviews, he totally redeemed himself with his latest installment.

Most people in the Pt. Pleasant area knows that Rosie's Pizza is some of the best from Sandy Hook to Cape May. Usually, after Portnoy stops at a pizza joint it gets a huge boost in business. Not the case at Rosie's. They didn't need his publicity. Rosie's is always busy. Imagine how it's going to be after this review?

I mention that Dave redeemed himself. After saying in one of his videos that he'd never be back to the Jersey Shore it left people with a bad taste in their mouths.

Luckily, Portnoy spent more time exploring all of the Jersey Shore. He admitted in his latest video:

I'll admit, I've never been to the Jersey Shore. I'm one of those people when I think Jersey Shore, I think 'Jersey Shore' MTV, but Pt. Pleasant is fire. It reminded me a little bit of Nantucket when driving up.

Dave is a New England guy originally. He even mentioned that Rosie's Pizza had a "New Haven" char to it which was right up his alley.

He was not disappointed as he gave Rosie's a very respectable 8.5. This is the highest score so far during his Jersey Shore tour.
