We live in a world where back to school reminders start in July and Halloween candy is in the store before September hits. But there are two words we should be saying now- Christmas shopping.

In case you are already rolling your eyes, here are some things you should keep in mind. Christmas Day is three months from yesterday. We're down to double digit days left, and when you think about your schedule, you may want to consider unrolling those eyes.

Face it, the most wonderful time of the year is here. There is no avoiding it. Need more proof. How about this...there are only 24 weekend shopping days left until Christmas. Put  your phone down. I counted it twice. It's true.

This year I'm not going to play the 'too early for Christmas' game, because each year I do, the holiday season zips by me like a benny on the Parkway trying to get to Belmar on a summer Friday.

So, yes my shopping has begun, and yes I'm ready to hear some Christmas songs, and yes I want aisles of Christmas trees and decorations in the store. Bring it on!

I don't want to skip over the great Thanksgiving holiday either, though, but New Jersey is a land of multi-taskers, so I think we can do both. I'm not saying put the inflatable snowman on the front lawn yet, but I'm not going to lie...I'm almost there!

And when else in the year can you use the word 'tis?
