Can This Really Be The Christmas Calorie Count For Monmouth County, NJ?
It's the most wonderful time of the year for family, for warm fuzzy feelings and gifts and decorations. But it's definitely not the most wonderful time of year for our diet or our waistline. Let's see just how much caloric damage we can expect for this most wonderful time of the year.
Let me start by saying that after a Christmas last year when you couldn't be close to the ones you love, there is no question this Christmas means way more than just eating. And if you've decided to give your diet a break, and put it on the old Christmas back burner, we totally get that, and good for you.
But if you are keeping an eye on the diet, and the old waistline this holiday season, then it's only fair to hear the truth about the Christmas feast. And when you hear the number of calories Monmouth County will consume this Christmas, it'll make you rewrite your letter to Santa to include that Peloton you've been thinking about.
So, just how much damage will be done for one of our favorite eating days of the year? It turns out that collectively, Monmouth County alone will consume an Earth-bending 4 and a half billion calories.
The good news is that when we carve out your portion of that, you will take in about 7000 calories on December 25th, according to ABC News. And you can burn that off in a week or so, right? Especially if Santa comes through with that Peloton.
So, my conclusion on this is the following. Let's all collectively put our calories count aside. This is a special Christmas, and there should be nothing that gets in your way of enjoying an amazing meal with the ones you love this year.
