Five New Jersey residents are facing several charges collectively after Brick Police Street Crimes Unit Detectives watched them commit a variety of drug-related offenses last week.

On Valentine's Day, police arrested 64-year old Nisar Ahmad of Cliffside Park outside the Sweet Green Food Market and the Wine Shoppe on Hooper Avenue around 10:00 pm.

Police said he was behaving suspiciously and upon further investigation, he was waiting around to buy drugs, so Ahmad was arrested for Loitering to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and was then released on a summons.

The very next day, Brick Police SCU Detectives watched a drug deal occur within the Maple Leaf Condominium Complex, around 6:00 pm.

They pulled over a vehicle that left and arrested Zachariah McInturf, 31, Brick, following an on-scene investigation.

McInturf has been charged with Loitering to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Anthony Connors, 36, Brick, was also arrested and on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Connors and McInturf were later released on summonses.

Brick Police SCU Detectives had their eyes drawn on suspicious activity Thursday afternooon, around 1:30 pm, outside of the Santander Bank on Beaverson Boulevard.

Detectives pulled the vehicle over after they saw that the vehicle had several equipment violations.

On top of that, police said that the passenger was littering out the window.

There was backup involved in this arrest as a Brick PD Sgt. arrived on scene along with Ocean County Sheriff’s K9 Officer Vosseller and his partner Duke.

An invesitigation on the scene led police to discover and seize heroin, Suboxone, crack, methamphetamines, black tar heroin, and drug paraphernalia, with some of the substances packaged and ready to be sold.

The driver, Daniel Anderson, 32, Point Pleasant Boro, was charged with possession of heroin, Suboxone, crack, methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute heroin and methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and motor vehicle summonses.

He was issued a warrant and then placed in the Ocean County Jail.

The passenger, David Bell, 49, Barnegat, was charged with possession of heroin, Suboxone, crack, methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and littering.

He was issued a warrant and placed in the Ocean County Jail.
