Over a month ago, I put together a list of 10 Jersey Shore restaurants that I still need to eat at. Beloved eateries like Grandma's Meatballs in Manasquan and Birravino in Red Bank are on the list. Luckily, in the last few days, I was able to eat at the top two suggested spots on the list.

#2 was The Butcher's Block in Long Branch. People literally go crazy for this place. Many will say that they offer the best steak not only at the Jersey Shore but in all of New Jersey. The hype is real! Hands down some of the best steaks I ever had. All in all, an A+ meal. #1 on the list was Anjelica's in Sea Bright...

It was my girlfriend's 30th birthday, so I wanted to bring her out to a highly sought-after dining experience. It was both of our first times going to Anjelica's. Sea Bright is a beautiful area and I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about this spot.

Starting with the service, it was fantastic. The staff was extremely kind and on top of everything. The outside seating was pretty, but we chose to sit inside instead.

I hate to throw my mother's Italian cooking under the bus, but this was probably the best homemade Italian food I've ever had. We started with the Caesar salad, which was delicious. For our entrees, we ordered the spicy vodka pasta, which was out of this world. We also ordered from the specials and got the ravioli. I'm not just saying this to make my article sound good, but it was easily the best ravioli I've ever had.

We didn't order it, but the rigatoni bolognese looked awesome too. Many will also say that the veal is some of the best in New Jersey.

We finished off the night with creamy, mouthwatering gelato.

How can this meal get any better? I'll tell you how, BYOB! We crushed a bottle of pinot grigio. The bill wasn't bad at all because of this.

This place is totally worth setting up a reservation for at midnight 45 days in advance, which is what you have to do if you want to get into this place. All in all, an A+ meal and experience, which is why we will be going back again soon.
