Aunt Jemima frozen waffles and pancakes recalled by NJ company
A Parsippany-based company is voluntarily recalling its Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes, waffles and French toast because they might be contaminated with Listeria.
Pinnacle Foods issued the recall Friday night after tests detected Listeria monocytogenes in their facilities.
The bacteria can cause fatal infections in children and the elderly.
Although no illnesses have been reported, the products are being recalled as a precautionary measure, the company said.
The recall affects all frozen products with any "best by" date sold in the United States. It does not affect the company's syrups and dry mixes.
The products can be returned to the store they were sold for a refund.
Customers with questions should call the company at 888-299-7646.
