Matthew Kaminsky, 50, accepted a guilty plea to one count of receiving child pornography, according to the office of acting New Jersey U.S. Attorney William E. Fitpatrick. Federal prosecutors alleged that Kaminsky used e-mail and instant messaging accounts to take in images of child sexual abuse.

Authorities alleged that Kaminsky met underage girls in chat situations, and sent them photos of himself in the nude. In late January 2015, Kaminsky struck up correspondence with the 13-year-old whom, after several days, he talked into taking photos of herself in the nude and sending them to him, authorities said..

In March 2015, investigators seized computer equipment belonging to Kaminsky, and discovered images and videos of child sex abuse. Law enforcement officers tracked down the 13-year-old, who confirmed that she chatted with him and sent the images he requested.

Kaminsky's sentencing is scheduled for June 28, 2017. In addition to possible prison time, he risks a fine as high as $250,000, and supervised release for life.

The government's case was presented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly S. Lorber. Kaminsky was represented by attorney Brian Kelly.
