Six Flags Great Adventure made a big announcement today when they said that they'll be bringing back a beloved tradition - being able to drive yourself through their safari.

In a Thursday morning press release, the theme park announced that once again you'll be able to get the kids in the car and see giraffes, rhinos, and much more up close and personal.

The decision was made following Governor Murphy's executive order that will permit drive-through events that adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Anybody who grew up in and around New Jersey certainly has stories of piling into the family car and driving through the Great Adventure safari, which ran that way for nearly 40 years.

Before you head over to Jackson to see for yourself, you'll have to make an online reservation first, which you will be able to do by clicking here.

As soon as Six Flags Great Adventure announces when they'll start to take reservations, we'll let you know.
