There are many, many roads in Monmouth & Ocean Counties that have their own unique challenges. Today we spotlight our good friend Route 33.

And to be more specific, we're talking about the stretch from the Hungry Puppy, just past the 33/34 split west to Freehold.  Here are some ways you know you are on that stretch of road.

I'm doing 12 and I'm not turning until Freehold. There's always that driver who is right in front of you or two cars up who swears the speed limit is 15, and they're staying in front of you until Freehold Raceway Mall.  That's 6 miles of hell.

It's still one lane. When you finally get to the split between business and highway, there's always someone who tries to get into a right lane that's not there yet. They jump onto the exit ramp only to jump back in front of you when they realize what they have done.

Rooting for Route 34. How many times do you see someone traveling slowly past the Collingwood Flea Market on  the left and since you're taking 33, you're rooting hard for them to take 34. Let them be somebody else's one lane highway problem.

There are plenty of other things we can all think of, and, by all means, feel free to add them below. We'd love to hear about them. ANd good luck on Route 33 and all the beloved roads around Monmouth & Ocean Counties!
