It occurred over three memorable days on a dairy farm in New York and became an extremely important part of rock and roll history August 15-18, 1969. This week, we celebrate the 48th anniversary of that iconic concert known as Woodstock. Performing that weekend were Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, Sha Na Na, Richie Havens, Melanie, Janis Joplin, the Who, Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Grateful Dead, Joe Cocker, Canned Heat, Jimi Hendrix, Blood Sweat & Tears, Johnny Winter, and Crosby Stills Nash & Young to name but a few. I'm unsure if WOODSTOCK LANE in Manchester, New Jersey is named for the famous musical event, but I just happened to be driving by Woodstock Lane this weekend and thought it would make for a timely post. If you were there 48 years ago, please share your memories.
