Wind Turbines OK’d For Lacey Walmart Parking Lot

Lacey Township could soon be getting wind turbines in the Walmart parking lot.

Reports say, by a nearly unanimous vote, the zoning board of adjustment gave Omniwind Energy Systems the go ahead. The project calls for replacing 10 light poles with stronger poles and placing the small turbines on top. Omniwind must meet the board’s conditions for final approval.
