One reason many of us have chosen the Garden State to live because it's a good place to raise a family. So how did the Garden State rank for raising kids for 2020?

The answer comes from a study done by WalletHub, and those of us who have chosen New Jersey to raise a family are going to be happy with the results. The Garden State is ranked the 7th best state for raising a family.

Let's look at some of the numbers that paved the way to our top 10 rating...

Affordability Rank...New Jersey came in 1st place nationally in this category.

Education and Child Care Rank. New Jersey placed # 5 in the country.

Median Family Salary. We have the 3rd highest in America.

Separation and Divorce Rate. New Jersey has the third lowest in the country.

Our neighboring states did well in research also. While Pennsylvania ranked in the top half of states (#24), New York actually ranked higher than New Jersey by coming in at #6.

So it's good news for New Jersey families, and that's enough to put a smile on our faces. We usually only do well in the bad categories, so this is a welcome piece of information. Congratulations Garden State!
