“WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO” Released this Day 1964

After numerous rather disappointing releases, and being given the Motown nickname "The no-hit Supremes," magic happened with a song titled "Where Did Our Love Go." The song was released this day in 1964, and even with all of the British artists in the Top Ten at that time, the song wriggled its way to #1. There was some pushback, as the group thought the song was rather infantile. The Supremes followed up "Where Did Our Love Go" with 11 more #1 hits and a few more that just missed.
