It was sad when Windmill on Rt. 70 & Rt. 88 closed down in Brick.

That was I believe in 2019. It's been several years. At this location in Brick at the intersection of Rt. 70 and Rt. 88 --the 7-Eleven is closed down and the Windmill. It's the strip mall where the H&R Block is. I think that's the only place open right now.

Whatever town you live in Ocean County or Monmouth County, there is a strip mall with empty stores. There is nothing worse than seeing empty stores that were once flourishing businesses and now a for rent sign.

We always ask the question, "What do you want to see there?" It's so tough, there are so many convenience stores, drug stores, and restaurants in these little areas of these towns, how can a small business make it?

What is replacing 7-Eleven and the Windmill on Rt. 70 in Brick, NJ?

We now know what's replacing these empty businesses, an urgent care, according to tomsriver.org and app.com. CityMD Urgent Care will be moving into this location on Rt. 70 in Brick. To learn more about CityMD Urgent Care, click here.

I remember when the Windmill closed down, so many people were upset to see it go. They were there for 30 years, according to their official Facebook page, in that location in Brick and now have six locations throughout the Jersey Shore.

Their Facebook post was incredibly sad, "Putting all of their focus on the other locations here at the Jersey Shore would provide the best dining experience at those six locations." And of course saying, "To each of you, we say thank you for your loyalty and patronage throughout the years." Personally, I miss the Windmill at this location, I went a lot.
