This has been a very uncomfortable week for the Jersey Shore, with excessive heat watches, thunderstorms and ridiculous humidity and temperatures.

We wanted to map out how things are expected to happen for the rest of the week and the weekend, so we reached out to our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow. Here's what he's saying about the next 96 hours or so.

Excessive Heat Watch. It's in effect from noon tomorrow (Friday) until Sunday evening.

Heat Index...here are the ugly numbers for the next few days...

Heat index for...

Today...95 (High temp 84)

Tomorrow...105 (High temp 88)

Saturday...110 (High temp 98)

Sunday...105 (High temp 98)

Are you looking for any tiny little piece of good news for you here? Surprisingly, we have some, if you can be patient, and what choice do we really have? Sunday will be the final day of the heatwave.

That seems a long way away, but it's the best we have right now, so try to find some joy in it. In the meantime stay indoors, stay hydrated, and dream of a white Christmas.
