Last year we lost businesses and restaurants due to Covid-19.

We said, "Goodbye" to Perkins in Toms River. Perkins was located on the corner of Rt. 37 and Hooper Avenue. It's the perfect spot for that perfect restaurant.

If you're still looking for a Perkins, maybe a pie, Perkins it's still open in Lacey Township.

What would you like to see there at that prime spot in Toms River. I'd love to see a Chick-fil-A, but could parking be an issue or the drive-thru line, could be a problem. That's what I would love to see there. We need another one in Ocean County other than Brick.

A couple of co-workers would love to see a good steak restaurant. They mentioned Outback Steak House. That would be great, but once again, the parking lot might not be big enough. I'm not sure though. It's a rather small parking lot, with parking around the building. There might be more parking than I'm thinking. Every time I went to the Perkins(which was not a lot), the parking lot was never full.

Sandy in Toms River would like to see a buffet of some kind move into there. My question to her is, are there still buffets, because of Covid-19? That's a whole other blog, will you ever go to a buffet again? I'm just not sure.

We really don't need any more fast food places. Do we need another pizza shop? Sub shop? Maybe? I'd like to see a nice restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal with my family.

What do you think Toms River and Ocean County Needs? What restaurant would you like to see in the old Perkins in Tom River?
