It might surprise you where New Jersey landed on the list of happiest state in America for 2019.

We don't usually do too well with these type of reports, but it turns out the Garden state is pretty happy. Actually, we're really, really happy according to this research. Like top 5 in the nation happy.

What? The state that leads the nation in taxes, complaints and hand gestures while driving is secretly...happy? Can this be true. The answer is yes according to a study done by WalletHub.

So, how did they come up with their results? They used categories like "emotional and physical well being", "work environment", and "community and environment". And the only states that ranked higher than us were (4-1) California, Minnesota, Utah and Hawaii.

Here are some New Jersey ranking that put us at #5. The big one that really helped our ranking soar was  "emotional and physical well being". We ranked #2 in that category. We're also 4th for lowest divorce rate.
