Two men from Philadelphia who stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise at the American Eagle Store on Route 73 South in Evesham on March 11 around 6:00 pm are facing a number of charges following their arrest.

Police say they took $3,700.00 worth of stolen merchandise, $1,280.00 in cash and several "booster bags" used to defeat security sensors.

Both males fled the store prior to police arrival but arriving officers found one of them in the parking lot.

The second male was eventually identified and later turned himself in.

Officers took a look inside their Chevy Suburban which was loaded with stolen clothing, which as a result, the car was then impounded while they applied for a search warrant they ended up getting March 14.

Police did say the two men tried to return the stolen merchandise.

Amin A. Shamsid-Deen, 25, is charged with 3rd degree Receiving Stolen Property, 4th degree Possession of Anti-Shoplifting Devices and 4th degree Criminal Attempt Theft by Deception.

He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.

Charles Meadows, 30, is charged with 3rd degree Receiving Stolen Property, 4th degree Possession of Anti-Shoplifting Devices and 4th degree Criminal Attempt Theft by Deception.
