Two Bayville residents are facing charges after investigators found that they made a substantial profit dealing marijuana in Ocean County.

Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer has announced the culmination of a multi-jurisdictional investigation into illegal drug activity in Ocean County.

On April 9 Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Strike Force, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, the Berkeley Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, executed a no-knock search warrant at a residence in Berkeley Township.

Detectives determined the residence was being utilized to store and distribute marijuana and THC vaping cartridges.

As a result of the warrants, Detectives seized over five pounds of marijuana, approximately 225 THC vaping cartridges and quantities of psilocybin mushrooms.

Detectives also seized paraphernalia associated with the distribution of marijuana and approximately $18,000.00 in cash.

Aryn Nemati, 25, of Bayville is charged with Possession of Marijuana Over Five Pounds but Less Than Twenty-Five Pounds in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(10), Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in a Quantity of One Half Ounce but Less Than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2), Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25a, Possession of Marijuana over Fifty Grams in violation of N.J.S.A.35-10a(3) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C36-2.

Nemati is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Heather Alexander, 22, Bayville is charged with Possession of Marijuana Over Five Pounds but Less Than Twenty-Five Pounds in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(10), Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in a Quantity of One Half Ounce but Less Than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2), Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), Financial Facilitation of Criminal Activity in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25a, Possession of Marijuana over Fifty Grams in violation of N.J.S.A.35-10a(3) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C36-2.

Alexander was released on a summons pending a future court date.
