
Toms River Teen Escapes Serious Injury When SUV Flips
A Toms River 18-year-old is recovering from injuries after her SUV overturned Monday afternoon in the township.

Victoria Gil was treated at Community Medical Center in the township after the crash about 5 PM Monday.
Police say her Ford Explorer was southbound on Coolidge Avenue when a Hyundai driven by Verace Umberto, 17, of Toms River, crossed into her line of travel while crossing the road at Windsor Avenue.
A witness told police that the car in front of Umberto’s turned right, and that Umberto apparently assumed that the overhead signal had changed to green.
