A fire at Toms River Family Dental on Route 37 is under investigation this morning by township police and the bureau of fire prevention.

No injuries were reported from the blaze that broke out around 2:45 on Thursday afternoon.

The fire was quickly put out but it's not known what caused it yet.

Toms River Emergency Communications received several 911 calls reporting a heavy smoke condition coming from Toms River Dental, according to the East Dover Fire Company Station 28 who along with Island Heights Station 53 joined with Toms River Station 25 and 26 in responding to a fire.

All units were cleared from the scene about 2 hours after the fire response.
