I love these events where I can bring my 4 legged best friends. It's a dog's day out, they love the beach, they love car rides, and they love to meet other dogs. This is the perfect fall event.

This event will have "tails wagging" at Island Beach State Park. The Friends of Island Beach State Park thought it would be a great idea to have an event where everyone could bring their dogs. When The Friends of Island Beach State Park say bring your dogs, it's everything for dogs. All the events are for the dogs.

Barktoberfest is all about the dogs, a doggie dress-up parade, pet supply vendors, a pet expo, food trucks, and more. Can you imagine how excited your fur friend will be? Imagine all the treats he or she might get. Please remember to leash your dog to bring to this fall event.

This fall event is free, but an $8.00 donation is suggested. It's a perfect time of the year to get out in your community and enjoy Island Beach State Park. In October, just like September, it's New Jersey's time to enjoy the beach. And I know how much your dog loves the beach, I know mine do.

New Jersey's Beach Commandments: Do's & Don'ts at the Beach

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
