16 Random Things I learned My First Summer In Ocean County, NJ
Not that we're a few days into fall, but I've had some time to reflect on the past four months since I moved to New Jersey.

Of course, I've been coming to the Jersey Shore for vacation my entire life but things are a little different when you're a resident, and live and work within the community.
Just in case you didn't know, I'm the afternoon host on 105.7 The Hawk, and it's been a dream of mine to work at this station since I was a teenager.
I've had to pinch myself a couple of times since getting here that's for sure.
Now, even though I've vacationed around the Garden State for years I've been a Pennsylvania resident my entire life.
Needless to say, even though they are right next to each other PA and Jersey are totally different places.
The biggest difference is the ability to make a left turn in PA without having to go through a jug handle, or maybe it's the accents, I dunno.
Either way, being able to call New Jersey my new home is awesome and I'm looking forward to what the years ahead bring.
That being said, my first summer here at the Jersey Shore has been eye-opening, to say the least.
My wife and I live in a little apartment a half block from Casino Pier and the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights, and we've had better people watching the past few months than we've had our entire lives!
On top of that, we're slowly starting to learn some of the lingoes, as well as what foods are good and what to avoid, and I'm sure there's a lot more to learn about Jersey.
