The New York Giants can make you dread a Jersey Shore weekend and usually do. This weekend was no exception.

The early expectations were not very high for the New York Giants this season. They are living up to those expectations. And despite pre-season predictions, all football fans have that naive hopefulness. Shame on us.

The Giants have already started this year's brand of disappointment, meaning they can't just lose. They have to do something to convince you to believe they can actually win before ripping the heart right out of our chest, leading us to The Three Stages of Being A Giants Fan. See below.

Stage 3. Crushing loss. There is a point in every Giants game when you know, you just know, that you are rooting for a team that will surgically remove your fan heart and football soul with one quick procedure

Every Giants, Jets and Mets fan knows exactly what we mean here. Hey, Giants fans...good news. Only 14 more games of ill-advised optimism. See you next week!
