The Perfect Summer Weekend
A little of this and a little of that on the first weekday of July:
I put in a lot of time this weekend at the beach and it was certainly the place to cool off. Sunday did not look promising with a warm west wind but the flies stayed away and the wind switched to the south later which was like turning on the air conditioning.
After sweating out the possibility of another shut down of state parks it turned out to be a banner weekend at the shore and hopefully it’s a sign of things to come over the next eight weeks.
I know September is the nicest month of the year, especially for those who can take advantage of it and enjoy the beach. However for me summer is June, July and August and I’m already depressed that a third of that is over. I feel like I need to squeeze everything I can out of these next two months because summer at the shore is what gets me through the long and I do mean long winter.
