The prosecution in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Lakewood police officer will resume Wednesday morning.
Ocean County prosecutors say Jahmell Crockam fatally shot Patrolman Christopher Matlosz on Jan. 14, 2011. The shooting occurred on a snow-covered street in Lakewood.
Crockam’s brother has been arrested after allegedly threatening to go on a shooting rampage at a high school if the suspect is convicted.
The Asbury Park Press reports Raheem Montgomery was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening to go on a shooting rampage at Lakewood High School if Crockam is convicted.
Police confiscated a 9mm handgun from Montgomery when he was arrested. He faces charges of making terroristic threats, and weapons offenses, and is being held in the Ocean County Jail on $250,000 bail.
