Hazlet Police have issued a BOLO alert in hopes you can help them identify a man wanted for questioning following a bank robbery that took place at the TD Bank on Bethany Road.
The man who allegedly threatened to shoot up a Toms River bank unless he was given money, five days before Christmas, awaits court proceedings while being held in the Ocean County Jail on $100,000 bail.
He got away without being identified, but Toms River investigators hope that the Internet can travel a greater distance, in shorter time, than the suspect in an attempted bank heist can.
The incident took place Tuesday, December 20, at about 11 AM in the TD Bank branch on Fischer Boulevard, according to police.
The coins jingling loosely in your pocket might see someone through a desperate hour. This Friday in Seaside Heights, you and your change - or paper, or check - can make a difference.
If a letter lands in your mailbox, on official-looking letterhead, informing you of a possible inheritance, contact the Federal Trade Commission. You're likely a target of a new wave of scams aimed at cleaning you out.
