With a Rutgers-Eagleton Poll recently showing the economy is the biggest issue before the midterm elections, another, newer survey finds more people are cutting back on things they don't need to survive.

One of the most eye-catching statistics in the poll: 99% of New Jersey Republicans are pessimistic that the country is headed in the right direction.

In the same poll, two-thirds of New Jersey adults support colleges and universities requiring all of their students to be vaccinated for the upcoming fall semester.

About one in six New Jerseyans say they won't get vaccinated against the respiratory illness.

The poll of 1,000 New Jersey adults found many residents are concerned about potential side effects, and feel they don't know enough about how well a vaccine would actually work.
