We are entering a time of year between fall and winter when for many it is "comfort food" time. When I think comfort foods, one of the first that pops into my mind is "soup" there is nothing better than a hot bowl of soup on a chilly day.
It's a term we have been hearing more and more of every Autumn..." Leaf Peeping" it's simply going out and looking at the beautiful colors of fall. Checking out the trees and leaves and all the colors nature proves as we head into Autumn and get ready for winter.
When we think of autumn usually if you mention food people will respond "pumpkin" or "pumpkin spice" but there is another "fall" food that's perfect for this time of year.
So we are now in August and this past weekend we had cool temps and less humidity....almost "fall" like. It was a weekend that kinda whispered "hey autumn isn't that far away now". Our first chilly weekend this summer. So with this weather, it got me thinking about why I am ready for autumn.
