Suspect sought in Maple Shade gunshot death probe
The gunman who shot a man in cold blood in Maple Shade this morning remains outside the law. Investigators are urging anyone who can help develop the trail to reach them.
Devon Young, 26, of Willingboro, died outside a commercial building on East King's Highway, despite desperate lifesaving efforts by emergency medical technicians, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Maple Shade Police Chief Gary Gubbei.
Investigators believe that the shooting was not random, and that Young was targeted. Police were alerted by a 911 report of an active shooter that arrived at about 8:25 AM.
No charges are yet filed. The investigation continues under the auspices of the Prosecutor's Major Crimes, High-Tech Crimes and Crime Scene Units, and Maple Shade PD detectives.
Information that would help authorities track Young's killer can be given confidentially to Maple Shade Police, 856-234-8300, or Burlington County Central Communicaitons, 609-265-7113.
