Sunday car accident in Beachwood remains under investigation

What led to a motor vehicle collision Sunday night in Beachwood between a KIA and a motor cycle remains under investigation by police today.

Police, fire and ems all responded to the intersection of Beachwood Boulevard and Chestnut Street in front of a home around 6:00 pm.

One person needed to be flown by MONOC 1 medical helicopter to a Jersey Shore Trauma Center after suffering a serious injury, according to the Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department.

It's unknown what caused the accident.

Further information regarding the accident has not yet been released by investigators.
