In an earlier post, we mentioned that road construction was going to begin in Downtown Toms River. This construction began on June 1st and you may see crews working, especially from 7 pm to 6 am, and with that road closures and detours in the Downtown district in Toms River.

On my way into work Wednesday morning the construction was in place and the road closed. Water Street thru Main Street, with posted detours. I didn't have too much trouble following the posted detours and made it to work on time. Be sure to give yourself a few extra minutes if you commute through Downtown Toms River, you may not need to, but just to be safe :)

So just keep this reminder in your head in case we see detours and/or closures so you can make plans to get where you are going on time. Lots of traffic flow through the area in Downtown Toms River around Main Street and Washington Street. If we get updates and additional information we will be sure to pass the details along to you.

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
