Singer/songwriter PAUL EVANS reached a landmark 80th birthday today. He had several of his own Top Ten hits such as "Happy-Go-Lucky Me," "Midnight Special," and "Seven Little Girls Sitting in the Back Seat," but also wrote classics such as "Roses are Red" for Bobby Vinton, "When" for the Kalin Twins, and "I Gotta Know" for Elvis Presley. He also penned the song "Happiness Is" which was used for years in Kent Cigarette commercials. He's a really nice guy and a great interview as well.
