Shore Conference Tournament - Quarterfinals

(1) Rumson-Fair Haven 15, (9) Red Bank 2

Junior attackman Quinn Stankovits scored six goals and assisted on another and senior midfielder Tommy French tallied two goals and five assists as the Bulldogs (14-4) continued to dominate Shore Conference opponents by running past the Bucs (9-6) and into the SCT semifinals yet again.

The defending SCT champions also received three goals and one assist from junior Cole Cashion while junior attackman Bryce Devlin had two goals and one assist. Senior middie Philip Passalaqua and freshman attackman Grayson Goldin each scored once. Junior goalie Will Setteducte made four saves.

Ryder Villani and Andrew Pape scored for Red Bank and Gavin Lisko made 18 saves.

Rumson will host the winner of Thursday's game between 4th-seeded CBA and 5th-seeded Soutnern.

 

(3) Wall 8, (6) Shore 3

Junior attackman John McCurry had a hat trick and one assist and senior midfielder Matt Dollive delivered two goals and two assists as the Crimson Knights (14-2) defeated the Blue Devils (10-3) to return to the SCT semifinals.

Wall led 3-1 after the first quarter, 5-1 at halftime, and 6-2 heading into the fourth quarter. Shore was able to cut its deficit to three goals but Wall netted the last two goals to put the game away.

Wall's defense held a potent Shore offense to just three goals with senior goalie Aiden Kessler making six saves and freshman midfielder Michael Hoarle winning 11 of 14 at the face-off X to give the Knights a major possession advantage. Sophomore attackman Jack Meyer added a goal and an assist, junior midfielder Connor Moore and sophomore midfielder Will Madden each scored once, and junior LSM Dominick Giglio picked up seven ground balls.

Senior attackman Carson Cooke scored twice, sophomore attackman Carson Spallone scored once, and junior goalie Walker Hunter made 22 saves for Shore.

Wall will play the winner of Thursday's game between 2nd-seeded Manasquan and 7th-seeded Howell.

 

Nondivisional

Toms River North 4, Ocean 1

Junior attackman Nick Walano scored twice and junior goalie Evan Singer made 18 saves to lead the Mariners (4-12) past the Spartans (4-13).

Patrick Bennett and Logan Murphy each scored once and Kevin McCarthy, Conner Kromer, and Timothy Beahm had one assist apiece.

 

Point Boro 13, Toms River South 3

Junior attackman Brian Ostrander and freshman attackman Brady Kirk each totaled three goals and four assists to power the Panthers (12-4) to a victory over the Indians (6-7).

Nick Campbell also scored three times while Spencer Knapp struck for two goals and Matt Koehler and Grayson Ritter each scored once. Campbell also collected a team-high nine ground balls. Matt Azzarano made 10 saves in goal.

 

Nonconference

Sayreville 15, Long Branch 6

Flavio Marques sank three goals with one assist, Jacob Juliano supplied a goal and three assists, and Ka'von Williams scored twice for the Green Wave (1-16) in their loss to the Bombers (12-5).
