Shoplifting, drug suspects charged in Stafford Township
STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - Three drug and theft suspects in two hours kept the township's Drug Enforcement Unit busy Wednesday.
DEU members were summoned to Target at 2:30 PM, where patrol officers held Jerimiah Kramer, 23, and Jessica Stone, 25, both of Manahawakin, for allegedly boosting more than $350 in goods.
Stone was further charged with possession of a hypodermic needle, police said.
At 4:30, DEU officers stopped a car on Route 9, near Manahawkin Lake, to look into what appeared to be a domestic incident involving the driver and his female passenger.
Matthew Knierim, 22, of Barnegat, was charged with possession of marijuana.
All three arrestees were released to await court proceedings, police said.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
