Are you writing out your Christmas cards? Do you think you can add one more name to your list?

We learned about the youngest daughter of late Cpl. Scott Thompson of the Manchester Police Department, Sydney.

In late November, Sydney suffered a stroke which left the right side of her body paralyzed. But, according to a Facebook post by the Manchester Police Department, Sydney is "a fighter" just like her father.

Sydney is now how at Health South Rehabilitation where she is said to be making remarkable progress.

Check this out. Sydney's father Cpl. Thompson proudly wore badge number 352. She was transported to Health South in ambulance 52. When Sydney took her first steps...you guessed it, there were 52 of them. Coincidence? I doubt it. Looks like Sydney has somebody watching over her.

Now, let get together and support the daughter of a local hero and an incredibly strong woman. Manchester PD had a great idea to keep Sydney motivated and in good spirits as she spends Christmas away from home. They are requesting that you send Sydney a Christmas card. That's it! I'm sure your words of encouragement will mean the world.

You can send cards to:

Health South

Room # S8
Toms River, NJ

Merry Christmas, and thank you!
