School board hopefuls have until July 31 to file petitions
Sixty-eight Board of Education seats in Ocean County districts will be at stake in November. If you aspire to fill one, the coundown to file nominating petitions is under way.
Prospective candidates have until July 31, 4 PM, to file petitions that will then be reviewed for signature verifications, according to Ocean County Clerk Scott Colabella. Election Day is November 7.
Blank school board petitions are available in the County Clerk's main office on Washington Street in Toms river, and at the Ocean County Southern Service Center on Main Street in Manahawkin.
Colabella said that a list of hopefuls who meet the submission deadline will be posted shortly after the July 31 deadline, on the Ocean County Clerk's web site and Facebook page.
