Russia Dominates Women’s Figure Skating
Russia dominated the women’s figure skating competition by taking the top two spots with 15-year old ALINA ZAGITOVA claiming the gold. Disappointing results for American skaters who finished 9th, 10th & 11th.
The Thursday highlight for the US was the upset victory by the Men’s Curling team which shocked favored Canada and advances to the gold medal game for the first time against Sweden on Saturday.
Tonight’s prime time highlights include men’s bobsledding, men’s speed skating, the Olympic debut of snowboarding’s men’s big air as well as the first alpine skiing team event.
Norway continues to lead the medals race with 35, including 13 gold while Canada has moved into second place with 27 medals. The United States remains in 4th place with 21 medals, 8 of them gold.
